I don’t mind some fallout during application, as long as the end result is still the level of pigmentation I was going for, but continuous fallout during wear is harder to deal with, especially if the fallout gets into my eyes.
Pat McGrath Blitz Gold Nude Romantique Cyber Orchid BlitzTrance Lipstick Reviews & Swatches10/31/2018 ![]() Blitz GoldPat McGrath Blitz Gold BlitzTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a bright, medium gold with strong, warm yellow undertones and a glittering, sparkling finish. It seemed to have a mix of larger sparkle and micro-glitter with a translucent base, so it had more medium coverage that was buildable to semi-opaque coverage. The base was rather emollient, and I found that as I tried to build up color, more product would pull into my lip lines and didn’t go on as evenly as I would have liked, though it wasn’t noticeable in person as there was so much shine ad and sparkle. The texture was noticeably glittery, so while it didn’t tug on my lips, I could feel the edges of the glitter/sparkle as I applied it and certainly could feel/tell it was an overtly glittery product on my lips while worn. It wore well for five hours and was hydrating while worn. Top Dupes
Formula Overview$38.00/0.13 oz. - $292.31 Per Ounce The formula is supposed to have "one-stroke colour" with "ultra-reflective pearls" paired with a "silky" and "creamy" texture that yields "multi-dimensional shine." The pigmentation varied from shade to shade with more medium to semi-opaque pigmentation that "full coverage," and the amount of shimmer/glitter also varied significantly from to shade. For example, Blitz Trance has a very glittery look on the lips, whereas Flesh Fatale had a subtle, sparkling finish. They had a lot of shine, though, with being wet in feel or all that glossy, which seemed to linger for longer than the average lipstick--the shine didn't immediately dull after taking a sip of something or talking for a few minutes. The consistency was lightly creamy with moderate slip, but it didn't feel too thick or heavy, so the color didn't slide around on my lips and adhered evenly for the most part. Shades that were more glittery felt that way in the tube as I applied them to my lips with the glitter being less noticeable on my lips, though those who may be more sensitive to glitter may find it at least somewhat apparent--at the very least, this formulation is not disguising the texture of all that sparkly goodness. They were lightly to moderately hydrating, comfortable to wear, and lasted between three and five hours. I feel like the best way to sum these up as: they're sparkling and luminous with medium, buildable color payoff that lasts an average length of time. They did not have any scent or taste from what I could tell! Browse all of our Pat McGrath BlitzTrance Lipstick swatches. Ingredients![]() ![]()

![]() Nude RomantiquePat McGrath Nude Romantique BlitzTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a soft, coral-red with warm undertones and multi-colored pearl and larger sparkle. This was one of the least sparkly shades in the range; it had more of a soft, pearlescent sheen than overtly glittery finish. It felt a bit smoother and creamier as well with less noticeable texture coming through from the sparkle/glittery bits. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that was slightly buildable, but while the color applied evenly, but there was a touch of product that gathered in my lip lines the more I tried to build up coverage. This shade stayed on well for four and a half hours and was moisturizing while worn. Top Dupes

![]() Cyber OrchidPat McGrath Cyber Orchid BlitzTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a deep fuchsia pink with cool undertones and a mix of fuchsia and lighter pink sparkle and finer pearl. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips in a fluid motion. The lipstick was lightweight with creaminess and an emollient feel, but it didn’t feel slippery or heavy on, so I didn’t feel like it moved around too much during wear. I could just barely feel the texture of having all that sparkle in the formula when I applied it to my lips, and if I pressed my lips together firmly, I could tell there were shimmers/fine sparkles on my lips. It never felt gritty or rough to me, but I knew I had larger shimmer/sparkle on my lips, and I didn’t have any issues with the glitters/sparkles migrating to parts unknown. This shade had better application with decent coverage, and it’s real “downside” was that it didn’t live up to the claim of full coverage. It did wear nicely for five hours and was lightly hydrating over time. Top Dupes

![]() Supersonic GirlCharlotte Tilbury Supersonic Girl Eyeshadow Quad ($52.00 for 0.18 oz.) is a new, limited edition quad that contains four, sparkling shades that sold out very quickly across the internet retailers. There are moments where I feel like I live and breathe all things beauty and then there will be products, like this one, that sell out and leave me confused as to why. In the brand’s eyeshadow quads, one shade is the “pop” color, which is usually a sparkly shade with a more emollient, almost “wet” texture, and this palette contains all “pops.” For most, I suspect this is a complementary palette–glittery, sparkly accents to pair with one of many palettes out on the market (including Stars in Your Eyes, which I felt went with this palette). The brand recommended to use the formula with fingertips, if using it dry, for “intense color pay off” or wet to “unleash the intensity and vibrancy of the shades.” I found that they very much needed to be used with a dampened brush or fingertips to get decent coverage and application with minimal fallout. You’ll also want to use an adhesive spray to minimize fallout over time, though the sparkles seemed to be flatter and adhere better to my lids compared to rounder glitter particles. ![]()

![]() Supersonic Girl #1Supersonic Girl #1 is a soft, rosy copper with warm undertones and flecks of gold sparkle and copper shimmer. It had sheer coverage applied with fingertips as well as with a dampened brush; it did not seem to improve either way. I tried to pack it on, but I ended up with more fallout than increased intensity. The texture was denser, more loosely-pressed, and a little gritty compared to the other three shades, which may have been why it did not seem to have a good base pigment coming through. It wore well for eight hours with light fallout over time. Top Dupes

It had good color payoff when applied dry with fingertips and opaque coverage when applied with a dampened brush. The shimmer dispersed more evenly and noticeably when I used it with a dampened brush, though, as my fingertip seemed to have most of the sparkles left on it than transferred onto my lid. ![]() Supersonic Girl #3Supersonic Girl #3 is a medium brown with warm undertones and a sparkling finish. This was the most sparkly shade in the quad, and it was one that had a bit more fallout during application as well as throughout wear if I didn’t use it with an adhesive spray. The texture was soft, a bit more yielding, but I think that was what caused the additional fallout during application, which was most noticeable when I used it dry with a fingertip. It had semi-opaque pigmentation with less base color that translated onto my skin when I applied using my fingertip. When I used a dampened brush, it was opaque with more evenly dispersed sparkles. It stayed on well for eight hours with light to moderate fallout over time. Top Dupes

It is our intention to highlight the talents of local musicians, whether veterans to the industry or newcomers. Like the bands, the album can be fresh or something we just haven’t had the power to take off repeat in the past few months. Check out previous entries in the series here. Meadow Mountain’s modern yet old-fashioned bluegrass totally embodies their home state of Colorado. With tales sung from the tops of the Rocky Mountains to the base of the Front Range, even their name is an ode to a mountain in the High Rockies. They’re the epitome of what it means to create and play bluegrass music, with a theme of snowy peaks, autumn leaves falling and free-range summertimes — and they’re keeping things simple with their debut, self-titled album Meadow Mountain scheduled to release this Friday, November 2, with an album release party at Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox the very next evening. Take a first and exclusive listen to Meadow Mountain before its official release on Friday here. At the 2017 RockyGrass band competition, not only did Meadow Mountain win, but their win caught the attention of Grammy-winning The Infamous Stringdusters’ Chris Pandolfi. With Pandolfi as the producer for the new album, Meadow Mountain now has a string of 11 carefully curated bluegrass tunes that are both fresh and new while also being traditional. The band would describe themselves as “a progressive Bluegrass band,” and as they explained, “there are many influences that push and pull our ears in different directions.” Depending on which member is leading what song and who might be on vocals, the 11 songs all have a unique sound from one another. While “Radio Waves” has a darker, more folk-inspired sound, “Careless Heart” sounds like your good, old-fashioned bluegrass. ![]() Courtesy of The Press House Meadow Mountain and their Meadow Mountain are the newest additions to The Infamous Stringduster’s own label, Time Table Records, and working with the best in the business helped the album be as beautiful and full-bodied as it is. While working with Pandolfi, it was clear to the band that they “weren’t just working with a solid musician with a good ear” and that they “were working with a man who carries the title of ‘producer’ just as effortlessly as he does his various other musical titles.” The collaboration of Pandolfi and Meadow Mountain created an album that is timeless and delicious, whose overarching themes of the mountains and of love make for one truly invigorating piece of art. Just one of a handful of the highlights on Meadow Mountain is the broken-hearted love song, “Shadow Of A Mountain.” The tune, which is an all too well-known story of saying goodbye and parting ways with a lover, is set to a background of some magnificent pickin’ and pluckin’. It’s simple yet complex, and speaks more volumes than its easy listening initially gives off — “I remember the night that we parted / One tear fell gently from your eye / but the call of the wild I could not deny / As I said the words of our last goodbye.” ![]() Courtesy of The Press House Further expressions of gratitude for the peaks and valleys of the Rocky Mountains come in the homesick tune “Follow Me” and the metaphorical “Rocky Lady.” The talent shone through the album does not end there, however, but begins again with the Irish-inspired “Flying Leaf Jig” and the album’s closing instrumental, “Raji’s Romp.” Aside from mountain life, the last portion of the album is a story of being on the road, with songs like “Celestial Navigation” that boasts musical solos, or “Sailing To America,” that tells a story of returning home. When all is said and done, Meadow Mountain’s namesake debut album does them and their music justice, staying true to the heart of who they are, which they described for us in their own words — “Bluegrass is the heartbeat of this project. It lies at the core of everything we do.” And on November 2, Meadow Mountain will be released as one of the more interesting, more well-rounded and overall better bluegrass albums of the year. Tickets are available for the Meadow Mountain Album Release Party here.via https://303magazine.com/2018/10/local-listen-20/
On Tuesday, November 6 new Japanese restaurant Osaka’s will open its doors across the parking lot from iconic local home and garden giant McGuckin’s Hardware. The compelling, highly stylized spot toes the line between fast casual and upscale in a way that has been hard to achieve. Modern Market comes to mind — both serve alcohol and have well-lit and carefully but sparsely decorated interiors — but the new joint from businessman and Japanese native Koji Tamura has an originality and sophistication all its own. Traditional Japanese hospitality is at play from the moment you walk through the door and the cuisine manages to be both true to its origin while having a remarkably familiar feel for American audiences unacquainted with Kansai (the region in which Osaka resides) cuisine. When customers first walk through the door they will be greeted with great zeal by a gaggle of Kimono-clad waitresses — a welcome that could not be further from bored employees slumped over host-stands. General Manager Charles Curtis — also born in Japan — stresses the importance of hospitality as central to the business’ philosophy. Waitresses bow when they drop food — an indication of requesting permission to enter a customer’s space. Each table is graced with a Noodoe device — an innovative gadget that allows customers to silently call wait-staff to the table when they need attention. A cube, each side with an icon for a common request – drink, water, order and check — can be placed with the desired side up. When done a message will appear on the server’s watch and they will quickly arrive to meet the demand. Tamura has had the dream of opening this restaurant for nearly 40 years. He originally envisioned the concept while studying in Los Angeles in the ’70s, but life had other plans for him. He returned to Japan and spent many decades in business — with a 25-year stint in medical equipment and a stretch at Motorola in both Japan and Germany. After his retirement last year it was not long before his wife suggested that he pursue his original ambition. Several factors dictated Tamura’s decision to open Osaka’s in Boulder. His daughter attended school there — both at the University of Colorado and the Rolf Insitute — and a famous Japanese marathoner Mizuki Noguchi was looking to return to Japan and had a place in Longmont where the Tamura family could set up. Along with the serendipitous occurrences, Tamura cites Boulder’s health-conscious demographic as a key factor. He also hopes to franchise the business, following Google campuses being a main component of his corporate model. Click to view slideshow. The menu has a lot of excellent traditional Japanese fare, but the highlight is Tamura’s Osaka Burger — a concept taking okonomiyaki — a savory pancake — and fashioning it into something fast and hand-held. The buns are made from a more customary cabbage base or the equally delicious kale alternative. Fillings include teriyaki chicken, sukiyaki beef, mushroom and others and range from $12-13. The tonkatsu ($18), is a healthy portion of fried pork cutlet complete with a sweet sesame sauce. The sauce is served in two parts — fresh sesame seeds with a mortar and pestle and an accompanying sweet sauce. Guests are invited to hand-crush the seeds, immediately bringing out the freshness. All the dishes are bright and the dishware is elegant — much of it is directly imported from Japan. “We want you to be able to taste the food with your eyes first,” said Curtis. Drink-wise the spot will have Kyoto-style drip coffee, matcha lattes, an intricate tea program and a beverage program that will highlight sake and Japanese whisky. Happy hour will run daily from 5 – 6 p.m., with the specifics coming closer to opening. The business has all the markings of a successful chain. Tamura’s particular demographic insight legitimizes the higher price point — and his attention to detail should keep tech customers with a certain amount of disposable income coming back. All the take-out containers are biodegradable and charming, and his chefs — two of whom he flew in from Japan — are making food that is equally delicious and nourishing — convenient brain-food for athletes and innovators alike. Osaka’s will open it’s doors November 6 at 11 a.m. It will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for lunch and from 5 to 9 p.m. for dinner. It is located at 2460 Canyon Blvd. All photography courtesy of Osaka’s.
via https://303magazine.com/2018/10/osakas-japanese-food-boulder/ The Black Lips are bringing their signature blend of bluesy garage rock to Denver’s Bluebird Theater this Friday, November 2. With a sound that has been described as a “rough pastiche of blues, rock, doo-wop, and punk,” the Black Lips have maintained the lofty position as a seminal band in the garage rock canon, popularizing an entire shift in sound within the independent rock scene in the last decade alone. Forming in 1999 in Atlanta, Georgia, The Black Lips’ prolific career spanning nearly 20 years has generated nine full-length albums and has served as a revolving door for a multitude of talented musicians. A casualty of the post-Columbine fear of high school punks and weirdos, guitarist Cole Alexander and bassist Jared Swilley were expelled during their senior year, with the school characterizing the two as a “subculture danger.” But perhaps their expulsion was a blessing in disguise because soon after, Alexander and Swilley, along with guitarist Ben Eberbaugh, formed The Black Lips. The group has also been marred with challenges, including back in 2002 in the early days of their career. The band’s then guitarist, Ben Eberbaugh, was struck by a drunk driver and killed just days before the band would embark on their first tour. Their debut full-length release, Black Lips!, served as a tribute to Eberbaugh’s life as a musician and friend. Despite the devastating loss of their friend, the Black Lips hit the road as a trio just a few days later, knowing deep down that it would have been what Eberbaugh would have wanted. Eventually, the band filled Eberbaugh’s role briefly with Jack Hines, who departed after recording the band’s second full-length release, We Did Not Know the Forest Spirit Made the Flowers Grow. Ian St. Pé, a music major at the University of Memphis who frequently bought alcohol for his then-underage future bandmates, was next approached by the band. Pé promptly dropped out of school and joined The Black Lips on their tour in 2004. Since the beginning of their career, the band’s passionate dedication to touring has never quelled. The very same mischievous spirit that helped speed up their exits from the educational system is still very much alive, thriving in its new environment on stage, often resplendent with punk rock theatrics and miscellaneous bodily fluids, amongst other things. However, it’s not as though the wily on-stage antics of the Black Lips haven’t landed them in hot water before. In 2009, during their first (and last) tour of India, the band ditched their toned-down presence during a set in Chennai in favor of classic Black Lips capers, including some not so well-received Lips-locking. After the same-sex smooching, the tour’s sponsors pulled out and the band was nearly jailed, their passports confiscated by the disgruntled promoters. According to Swilley, “The first few shows, we were being really reserved because we didn’t want to offend anyone, but they kept telling us to do what we wanted… I guess ‘do whatever you want’ didn’t include kissing each other. We had to physically wrestle our passports back from the promoters.” The band ended up taking a 200-mile cab ride to the next province and hopped on a flight to Berlin, narrowly escaping Indian prison. The Black Lips put out their ninth studio album, Satan’s Graffiti or God’s Art?, in May of last year and have embarked on a number of tours since its release. Satan’s Graffiti signifies the addition of the first female band member, Zumi Rosow, who plays the saxophone, injecting the band’s bluesy sound with a new tinge of jazz. This new record also sees the return of Hines on guitar, as well as the cosmic Yoko Ono as a co-producer. Fans of the freakishly fun band won’t want to miss this show — and who knows? Maybe they might just bust out the bongos, baby. The Black Lips will play on November 2 at The Bluebird Theater. The show starts at 9 p.m. and tickets can be found for $20 here. The holiday season is flying by with Halloween almost over, but there’s another major holiday starting on October 31 — Día de los Muertos, also known as Day of the Dead. Día de los Muertos celebrates and remembers ancestors and loved ones who have passed to help them through their spiritual journey in the afterlife. Often times, Halloween and Día de los Muertos get intertwined, but Museo De Las Americas aims to separate the two holidays through education and awareness. Museo De Las Americas is a premier Latin American art museum in the Rocky Mountain region — located in the heart of the Santa Fe Arts District — it has been serving the community for over 27 years. Museo De Las Americas has been busy this past month as they prepared for their annual Día de los Muertos celebration, the First Friday Art Walk, on November 2. 303 Magazine had the chance to sit down with Jade Gallegos, Museo De Las Americas public relations and marketing coordinator, to learn more about the institution and Día de los Muertos. ![]() Museo De Las Americas. Photo by Brittany Werges. 303 Magazine: Why was Museo De Las Americas created? Jade Gallegos: I think it’s really about representation and preservation. It’s about the histories of the America’s and the indigenous people kind of being, well as it is, colonized and assimilated. So [Museo’s] trying to hold on and preserve the culture that we still have for future generations, and especially art because art specifically is a form of storytelling and helping with that preservation of our culture. And also getting the youth involved and having a creative outlet to expand their minds and be in touch with their roots. 303: Explain how Museo wants to enact change within Denver and beyond. JG: I think just our awareness, obviously we’re a non-profit, so we have fewer resources and have to make those special connections. We just want to really make ourselves known and aware for this region, as I said there’s a lack of Latin American art museums around the country, and that’s kind of astounding too being where we’re located in the Rocky Mountain region — kind of Southwest, kind of not. It’s surprising there’s not more of us here. Museo finds it really important to expand and make those connections and be that communal space for Latino artists all over. 303: How would you describe Día de los Muertos? JG: Día de los Muertos is celebrated all over the world now, but it’s a Mexican holiday. It’s interesting because it’s recently gotten really popular and commercialized in America. But of course, it’s spread all around the world because anybody with a Mexican heritage might still celebrate it no matter where they reside or moved. It’s a Mexican holiday that coincides now with All Saints Day, but it’s actually a pre-contact holiday. It was around prior to the Spanish conquest and colonization over Mexico. Today, the purpose of it still remains pretty similar to how it started, which is for families to celebrate their loved ones who passed on. It’s a multi-day event and celebration, so people celebrate it where one day is dedicated to the souls of children who have passed then to elders who have passed and ancestors of those who they didn’t know but pay homage to. It’s about creating a journey and calling to their ancestors from the afterlife to bring their spirits into the home just for this holiday — kind of a reunion of spirits and energies. 303: What is your favorite memory from your own past Día de los Muertos celebrations? JG: I actually don’t celebrate it, but this is a really, really great and well-timed question. I’m Native American and Mexican American. With the popularization and prominence of it in America, my family specifically was saying we should actually celebrate it this year. The reason being is a lot of people of color [POC] communities would say family is so important and close-knit. Any excuse to get together with the family, eat and drink then reminisce about those you miss sounds amazing. Anybody whose migrated over from Mexico to America still have those ties as well, whether they’re Catholic ties or not — I think it’s still widely celebrated. 303: What events does Museo De Las Americas have planned for Día de los Muertos and this upcoming year? JG: Well, we’ve always been the institution on the Sante Fe Arts District that’s held some sort of event programming for Día de los Muertos. This year’s really exciting though because — we’ll call them the cultural institutions of the Denver art’s district, so that’ll be CHAC Gallery, Museo, Su Teatro and Colorado Ballet — we’re all coordinating with the Art Walk to put on a big celebration. Every year, Museo usually has visiting artists make ofrendas or the alters, and we’re still having that this year. We’re actually having two — one inside the museum that’s going to be more of an observance alter and then another that’s outside that will be a communal alter for patrons of First Friday to come and light a candle or leave a marigold flower in remembrance of somebody that they love. Additionally, we’ll have face painting of traditional la catrina designs, sugar skull decorating and nichos decorating. Right now, our entryway is adorned with nichos made by Denver Public Schools. You can consider that another program for the holiday that’ll be up until November 3, so when Día de los Muertos officially ends we’ll take down the nichos. But art walk wide, there’s also a procession that we’re going to have starting from, I believe, 11th and Galapago and ending at Museo. And all that is detailed online if you need a visual of the map, but trying to keep the celebration really authentic and to the roots of the holiday, so we’ll do a communal procession through the art walk that will end at Museo as well. 303: What particular Denver artist(s) represent Museo De Las America’s ethos? How? JG: Cal Duran well, specifically with this event, is a local artist and he does a lot of 3D work with paper mache, and he’s the artist that’s making the bulk of our ofrenda that’ll be inside of the museum. He’s doing that in collaboration with a Nevada artist who’s a returning artist who also works with paper, but his style is working with papel and doing kind of a piñata style, 3D pieces. They’re both really fun, and we’re excited to have them both. It’s really important to us that we give our local artists in Denver that platform, so we love having Justin Favela, the Nevada artist, come — he’s amazing. I think First Friday is one of those great recurring opportunities that we get to have local artists here — even some that aren’t visual artists, like for each First Friday we usually have a couple local businesses, whether that’s vendors of jewelry or clothing or local food trucks and so on and so forth. This First Friday, we’re having a couple local artists, makers and creators in our back patio to accompany everything else that we’re doing already. 303: How have events changed for Día de los Muertos this year compared to last year? JG: Again, I think it’s just the awareness and commercialization that kind of comes with that awareness, so it’s bittersweet. I think any attention is good in this case since it’s like a hidden, cultural gem, and since there is such a great amount of Mexican Americans, specifically in this region and in Colorado, I think it’s great. Certain things, like the movie Coco, which is a great movie and I absolutely love it because it brings that story not only in the homes of Mexican Americans but all children all over the country. I think that’s really great because they portray the holiday in a really culturally sensitive and accurate way. I think speaking as a Mexican American, the thing that’s kind of interesting is seeing how the holiday is getting mixed with Halloween. I don’t personally take offense to that, but I do think it’s important in terms of preservation to make sure there’s that distinction between the two. 303: Why is Día de los Muertos important to Museo? Why is it important to the community? JG: First and foremost, there are not many Latin American art museums in the country, so we kind of gave our self the tagline of being the premier Latin American art museum of the Rocky Mountains. We want to represent for this region and let people know, especially artists and makers, that this is a space that’s here for them and for Latino patrons and everybody alike, but especially the Latino community — knowing that there’s a space for you to enjoy is important. So with Día de lost Muertos every year, I think we’re just excited that our Día de los Muertos celebration gets bigger and bigger for the Arts District on Santa Fe. Where we are located is very important because it really is more of a Latino, Chicano arts district, which is so great that Denver has such a prominent art district geared towards that community, especially with all the changes to Denver — all the transplants and all the new, great things they bring — it’s important that we still represent and introduce our inner-community to the new people that are moving here. This neighborhood is very Latino, so it’s great to show them we may be an arts district that’s near home and in your neighborhood, but we acknowledge that always — knowing the type of people that we bring, the type of press and the promotions we put out. We are a part of your community. 303: What do you hope people will learn from Museo De Las Americas and the holiday? JG: The biggest takeaway and most important aspect of this holiday is the concept of family and appreciation — appreciation of where you came from, the appreciation of the people you have around you because we’re humans and our time here is unpredictable and short in the span of things. Again, just any excuse to relish and enjoy your family and your loved ones, whether that’s a chosen family or not. During this time with all the political and social turmoil, it’s important to have a safe space, so I hope that’s the takeaway for people — that this holiday can be whatever you need it to be in terms of being safe and being around loved ones. ![]() Museo De Las Americas 2017 Día de los Muertos celebration. via https://www.temptalia.com/is-eyeshadow-fallout-a-deal-breaker/ ![]() Holiday 2018Dior Holiday 2018 Rouge Dior Mini 4-Piece Set ($50.00 for 0.20 oz.) is a limited edition, sold out mini set that was exclusive to Sephora. The upside for yours truly is that the shades included are part of the permanent range so not all is lost, at least in terms of swatches and testing. The formula is better than it appears in the ratings because this formula comes with an overzealous wear-time claim of 16 hours when most shades last between four and six hours. I wish the lipsticks were squatter as they are narrower, and in the mini format, they are more fragile; I managed not to break any (I was careful), but I could see it happening quite easily. ![]()

![]() Saint Germain (414)Saint Germain (414) is a medium pink with warmer undertones and a cream finish with very faint pearl. It had opaque pigmentation with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that had moderate slip, which I did find pulled a bit of color into my lip lines. The lipstick was lightweight and comfortable to wear over the four and a half hours it lasted for, and it seemed lightly hydrating as well. Top Dupes
Formula Overview$35.00/0.12 oz. - $291.67 Per Ounce It is supposed to “highly pigmented” with “lasting comfort” and no “colour streaking” for 16 hours. The pigmentation was typically semi-opaque to opaque in one layer, while the consistencies were lightly creamy or velvety, easy to apply, and went on fairly evenly/smoothly. The biggest "downside" is that they come nowhere near 16 hours for anything--they do not wear that long at all; they last between four and six hours on average, which is solid wear but falls quite short of 16 hours. The satin shades are more hydrating, while the mattes are slightly hydrating to non-drying. The formula has a strong, floral scent in the tube, and I don’t really notice the scent once it’s on the lips. Browse all of our Dior Rouge Dior Lip Color swatches. ![]() ![]()

The famed Spanish retailer is finally opening its doors in Denver’s Cherry Creek Mall. After months of construction, Inditex, the company that owns Zara, confirmed the store will welcome the public on Friday, November 9. For many style-minded Coloradans, this has been a long time coming considering the economic and population boom in the region. But as of next week, the wait is over and the Mile High city will join Zara’s 2,200 locations across the world. Over the years, the $11.3 billion company has gained a worldwide reputation for its trendy, competitively priced clothing with a luxury bend. Zara will join the ranks of similarly structured brands — H&M and Forever 21 — at Cherry Creek Mall. More details about the opening day festivities and store information have yet to be announced. But stay tuned as we’re getting a first look at the forthcoming retailer next week. Cherry Creek Mall is located at 3000 East 1st Avenue, Denver.

The formula on this is more comparable to Nude Dip, though I found it a bit more compact/denser (but definitely not in line with most of the previously-released Eye Quads). I didn’t see anything about it wet/dry but often find this type of formula can be used that way, so the swatches reflect that but testing and ratings are done based off of dry application and wear. The four shades came together fairly well, but I did find that the inclusion of three lighter shades made them run together a little more than ideal (for versatility across skin tones). ![]()
